Anyway, I didn't find GXP ruined, it was annoying in some parts but still watchable.  MK had some unkind comments for OAV(1) according to Hayashi.  He's a perfectionist and is never happy.

I'm just want to know what makes GXP such a pet project of his, that's all.

Cause its his type of story. Space, the final frontier. He gets to explore his lore, introduce characters he's always wanted to AND take the harem to even crazier levels since its all in space and stuff, where pretty much anything is possible.

Regular Tenchi is actually kinda stale now. Nothing much else to talk about except the future kids, and maybe some political stuff. But just slice of life, and for someone who loves space sci fi action, staying at home all day for 12 episodes can get boring fast. But GXP potential is limitless because of the sheer stuff Seina can do and get into.

People talking about wanting an OVA 4, I'd honestly prefer a GXP: Brotherhood or ISM 2 before that tbh.
