Does anyone know how to finish figurines?

At first I was really excited when I saw this link, because for the prices, they seemed really cheap:

But then I saw what you get is unpainted parts.  So many of the prefinished figurines look so meh and these look so nice.  So is there a guide on how to piece them together and paint them?

I really like the Washu (sold out   ), Sasami, Ayeka, and Mihoshi on the top row and the last Ayeka.  Do places offer them preassembled without all that work and with professional results?

That's a really good guide.... it looks time intensive.  That's what I like about making computer art, gimp is free XD

But those figurines are really pretty
