TO whom it may concern:

I must make mention for the reason of my absence.  I took an unexpected trip to the emergency room on Thursday to deal with congestive heart failure on my own persion.  I am now recovering, and thank you fro your patience.

Dear friends,

Please forgive me if I do not make more responses today.  The pastor of our entire church organization, (worldwide,) passed today, and he was a man I knew.  I really am not in too much of a mindset to RP.  I hope you understand.

You have my condolences.

Ladies and gentlemen: I have the sad duty to announce that, after all these years, Ah! My Goddess will be coming to an end in July.  Yet, he also said there is to be a big announcement then as well.  Issue 308 will be the wedding and epilogue.  However, I hope there is a sequel series involving their children, who would be demi-deity.

so many good manga are ending.  Katekyo Hitman Reborn, Negima, Rosario Vampire, Orange Marmalade, even Naruto is winding down.

I see it like this: it's like a good TV series.  No matter how good it is and how long it lasts, it has to come to an end at some point, and AMG had a good long run, and far longer than most series ever did!  Keroro Gunso is giving AMG a run for its money, though.

I'm just surprised at how many series that I follow are ending or have ended in almost one year.

Is that lasted one year, or ended within the year?'

ended within a time span on one year.

Ah, that would include older series.  But, I think its tradition with the Japanese to let things end at some point.

I know.  it's just a bit sad that so many series I like are ending.

Its time to move on, I guess, and give younger animators and writers a chance to do something.  I do believe that is also a tradition in Japan: the older get out of the way when they know it is time.  I could be wrong.  Another thing is, unlike here, they don't have a look at the characters as to be going on forever.  In other words, unlike here, where our superheroes have lasted forever, but keep having to be rebooted, they figure the characters had their run, and now it is time to pull them before they jump the shark.  This normally happens when they run out of fresh ideas, feel that the ones they come up with have been done before and are just not marketable, and they know when it is time to say, "I had my day, and now it is time to give someone else a chance with their ideas."
It is interesting, though, that many of them are ending at about the same time.  Just the law of averages, or the law of the "Texas Sharpshooter," I guess.
