"You wanna fight, boy?" he said, and gave him a right cross with his free hand.

Z blocked the punch and used a subtle illusion to make the man pass out.

The others were now getting hostile, and both Tamiya and Otaki were up and ready now, and even Ian as well.

[Trace Carter]

Z cast another illusion that diminished hostile feelings within a 5 meeter radius.

[paladin313]

Everyone became docile and went back to their own camps.

[Trace Carter]

Z sighed, "What happened K1?" Z asked Keiichi after the illusion wore off and hostilities diminished.

[paladin313]

"They came up, belittled me, and tried to take Bell."

[Trace Carter]

"I see," said Z, "then I guess you'll beat them in the race, because you were the better person and didn't willingly start things, and they always say: 'may the better man win'"

[paladin313]

Proter observed the whole thing, knowing what just happened, came up, and said, "Long time no see, Morisato."

[Trace Carter]

"Old friend?" Z asked Keiichi.

[paladin313]

"More like rival," he grumbled.
     Proter then said, "You can stop with the hiding thing, because I know all about your girl.  I won't say you used her magic to beat me, but I do say this: don't be doin' any of that junk in the race!  I want it clean, and I am sure you want a chance to win clean."

[Trace Carter]

"magic?" said Z acting naive.

[paladin313]

"Don't play dumb, boy," he said with a side-wards glance, "Some woman that can do magic named Hild told me the whole truth.  Even gave me a neat trick that I can do, so don't play dumb.  I know the score."

[Trace Carter]

"I should've known mom would enter the race too," sighed Z, "so what was the compensation for the contract?"

[paladin313]

"Waddaya mean by that?"
