Proter looked over and happened to notice Belldandy.

the device Deberk had went off.

"Funny, there's multiple signs... Guess she's been busy..." Deberk muttered, as he examined the screen.

He nudged three of his single teammates and pointed out Belldandy to them.  They then went over and introduced themselves, asking her name, where she was from, noting she was new around there...  She smiled as she always did and introduced herself, "I am the goddess Belldandy, First Class, Second Category, Unlimited."
     That threw them off, but one said, "But you sure are as pretty as a goddess!"
     She smiled, giggled, and turned a touch red.  Kei was starting to take notice and get a bit miffed.

'So much for trying to keep a low profile about our divinity...' Urd thought with a frown.

Kei came up and put an arm around her, saying...in Japanese..."Is there a problem, babe?"
     "Oh no," she said, "These friendly men were making us feel welcome!"
     "Hey, that's funny talk!" said one who was indeed a redneck.

Deberk's investigations led him to a few people who were going to race in the upcoming race.

"Guess this means trouble..." Deberk muttered. He then chuckled a bit as he said, "Kinda amusing that Kakarine is seemingly ripping off one of our ideas..."

Z looked over at the group.

(Urd has nothing to say?)

"Hey, kid...where are you from," said the redneck in a way that made one think Keiichi was deaf and retarded.

Z overheard and closed his book and began to walk over.

Keiichi's English wasn't too bad at this point, and he said back in the same way, "I am from Japan!"
     The man turned cross and said, "You mocking me, boy?"

"Hey Kei, is something up?" asked Z in japanese, walking up to the group

Belldandy, ever the peacemaker, said, "Oh, please, boys...let us not fight.  There is no reason for this."
     "Is that your girl?" he asked, ignoring Bell.
     "She is my fiance!" he said with a glare.
     He looked at Bell and said, "You can do better.  Why don't you come sit with us...come and meet the crew."
     "Well, that would be nice," she said, "But you see, there are..."
     However, they started to sweep her up in the group and take her to their spot, not knowing what awaited them.

Z quickly removed the man's hands from belldandy and put him in a painful finger lock, "I believe the lady was declining you," he said in a sweet yet dangerous voice.
