Belldandy then said, "Well, how did they do that?"
     K1, being up on racing as he was, said, "Well, the sand on this beach is packed pretty hard, so you can drive cars on it with little problem.  The cars would go down this stretch of beach here, then turn over there, go down route A1A, turn over there, and then come back down the beach.  They could go medium fast on the sand, really fast on the hard top, but it was the turns that things got real treacherous."

A mini-Malek was secretly watching the group several miles away.

He vaguely wondered if Belldandy met up with Proter, if she would be able to sense that Proter made a deal with his main self.

'And of course with Demon-client confidentiality, she can only figure it out from whatever clues she can find. I wonder if it'll make her decide to cheat in Keiichi's favor even further?' Mini-Malek thought.'Doubt it, but it'll be fun to watch her squirm for a bit.'

Not too far down from them came Proter with his entire pit crew--some with dates, some not--setting up for a day at the beach not 75 yards from them.

Somewhere else in Datona Beach, Deberk was busy using a device that he and his friends had built at Malek's request. The device looked like the PKE meter from ghostbusters, but it was made to detect any magical items that Kakarine made.
