"You...took a short nap, but its okay.  What would you like to do with the rest of the day?"

(We are looking to advance the story up to a month before the race, but Katz wants to work out the training thing you two have going.)

[Trace Carter]

(I wouldn't mind a timeskip.  We can just say Z finished his training.)
"Well Mr. Malek said he would hemp me with a new spell," said Z

(Did you catch that, Katz?)

[HotelKatz]

"The deflect shield spell is willing the magical energy that makes up your shield to spin around. That will give it a bit of a defective property." Malek said. "Having a firm grasp of geometry helps with deciding where the deflected shot goes."

Ian slept deeply, and Belldandy smiled, saying, "Sleep on, dear brother.  You shall awake as if nothing happened, and I hope you and Z can be friends again."

[Trace Carter]

Z nodded, "It should come in handy with my next project.  I need to create drone targets that fly in random patterns so I can test a new laser spell I've been working on that changes direction according to my thoughts and has a lightning element.  the shield should protect me from misfires."

[HotelKatz]

"You're thinking of Barrier spells. Shield spells are stronger, but protect from one direction. When a Shield spell overlaps with another shield spell, both get stronger. Barrier spell protect from all directions, but aren't as strong." Malek. "And using more than one shield spell is foolish. The energy drain outweighs any benefits." 

[Trace Carter]

"I see," said Z, "can you teach me before I head back?"

[HotelKatz]

"to use a Barrier Spell, Will your magical energy to form a bubble around you." Malek said. " Your first attempts will create a weak bubble, but the more you use the spell, the thicker the bubble becomes. Same goes for the shield spell."

[Trace Carter]

"and what about the remote drone spell you said you would teach me?"

[HotelKatz]

"To use that spell, it requires a few hand gestures. Here is how to do them," Malek said, as he started a few hand gestures. When he was done, a small flying ball with a smiley face appeared.

[Trace Carter]

Z made the hand signs and created a smily face sphere. "so it will move at random patterns right?" asked Z

[HotelKatz]

"You'll have to tell it 'Training mode, random patterns' or do a few more hand signs for it to do it right off the bat." Malek answered.

[Trace Carter]

"okay, training mode, random patterns" said Z causing the drone to fly around.
Z pointed his hand with his palm forward, "ryūsei he said firing a beam of energy that repeatedly changed directions to follow and strike the drone.

[HotelKatz]

"You should probably train somewhere else besides the entrance to the neutral area." Malek said. "I'll put in a request for a space increaser for use in the arcade."
