"Except that the world is changing. It's advancing too fast that the ways of the old simply won't cut it. What will they learn from this? When they have no more escape, they'll bring their machines and rebuild. They'll see that the pollution is gone and won't hold back at all. If they knew it was you who was doing this, they're very trigger-happy you know?"

[paladin313]

Ian then added to this, "Add to this the fact that this is a somewhat atheistic society."

[Auir]

"Secular, not atheistic." corrected Skuld.

"So please, reconsider what you're trying to do. Find another way."

[paladin313]

She turned a bit firm and said, "That would be the same as saying, 'Just tolerate people abusing and breaking your inventions for another couple hundred years,' after you've begged people to stop!  Put yourself in my shoes!  You care about your toys; think about your toys like nature, and then look at how people have treated them, no matter how much you protest.  There comes a point were you say, 'ENOUGH' and allow for divine retribution to have her way!"

[Auir]

"And fall to their level? By seeking retribution?"

[paladin313]

"You didn't answer the question.  Answer mine first and then I might answer yours."

[Auir]

"That is my answer. That's why we're goddesses. That's what separates us from them. To continue doing what you do now, that'd make you no more different from them." said Skuld with a slight undertone connotation toward Z in addition to humans.

[paladin313]

"Gee, thanks a lot, sis!" grumbled Ian as Jorg said, "So, we made this world, they are lower than us, and yet we cannot stop them when they go to far?  What sense does that make?"

[Auir]

"Because we made them along with the world. Everything they do are as part of it as the tree that's growing out of that car right now."

[paladin313]

"But they are not playing by the rules WE made," she protested, "They have to learn."

[Auir]

"Even rules change over time. You can stay in your old ways and be left behind, or you can follow us into the future."

[paladin313]

"Oh...  This is so stupid!" she protested, "We create all this and then just sit back and let the humans--the humans WE made--defecate all over it with no repercussions!  Then, what is the point of us even existing?  Without us, the universe would go spinning off into chaos!  They have sown to the wind, but you tell me they shall NOT reap the whirlwind?"

(Come on!  She has a point!)

[Auir]

"They're not defecating anything. If they were somehow messing everything up, we would have already used Yggdrasil to fix it. Problems are fixed from the source, not the surface."

[paladin313]

"What?" she said, "I've been replaced by a machine?"

[Auir]

"What? You don't know about Yggdrasil? Well, it was upgraded so I wouldn't say you were replaced by a machine."
