"For a genius, that's a pretty stupid idea," said Z, "this goddess has the power to control nature itself.  bomb her in her sleep and she might use her power to ruin all your inventions and have bugs infest your ice cream stock."

[paladin313]

Belldandy put her hand on her shoulder and said, "No, that is not the way.  We have to know what she is seeing and feeling.  Perhaps there are other ways to fix it that she might not be seeing."

[Auir]

"She's an obstacle to progress! What she's asking for practically pushes back technology a hundred years!"

[paladin313]

"But, father gave her a job, and she does do a good one," she said, "We just have to remind her of her work her in this country with Mr. Pinchnot."

[Auir]

"Ehh.... Fine." she grumbled.

[paladin313]

The grass was getting thicker, and Ian went to find his mother.

[Auir]

Skuld tagged along not far behind, grumbling about the road.

[paladin313]

They soon came to the main drag...Front Street.  It seemed like a mix of the modern and going back to 1895.

[Auir]

"Greaaat. Well, convinced yet?" said Skuld.

[paladin313]

"Excuse me!" said Ian, "But this is my hometown!  I grew up here, and I find it rather quaint and homey!"

[Auir]

"Then you should care more if someone's doing this to your home."

[paladin313]

"I do," he said a bit through his teeth, "That's why I'm going to find mother."

[Auir]

"And then stop that goddess from doing anymore harm."

[paladin313]

He wheeled around and said, "I want to see if mother is okay, okay!"

[Auir]

She grew quiet, and her face was replaced with a concerned look.
