"No, so do something about it already!" said Skuld.

[paladin313]

"Hmm," he said, "Well, let's see if I remember what I was taught..."
     He put out his hands and started to try to cool the lava into a wall.  He build a ledge, but it was only going to do so much.  He then formed a wall, but he said, "Well, if it gets higher, I can go higher, but then we have another problem if the eruption does not stop."
     Pele arrived and said, "Well, there is a way."

[Auir]

"Don't block it! Divert the flow! A earth wall is more than enough to divert it!"

[paladin313]

"Whoa!" he said, "Never tried anything that big!"
     "I said there is a way," answered Pele, "Sacrifice a virgin maid to me."

[Auir]

"We're not into sacrifice, just make a small hollow triangle near the front of the flow, it'll divert it into two."

[paladin313]

Bell then said, "But there is not virgin maid here, except..." and she stopped, realizing what she was saying.  Pele smirked, looked at Skuld, and said, "Well, just fling her into the lava and all will be well.  Even if he builds the wedge, even that can become overflown, and it is not going to stop until I say and get what I want."

[Auir]

"Whoa whoa whoa, wait. How can that be overflown? For that to be overflown, this entire island'd be covered by lava by now and the ash so thick you can't see 2 feet in front of you!" she protested.

[paladin313]

Pele said, "My intent is to get my virgin, and I control the lava, little big mouth!  Unless I get my virgin, I won't stop.  He is only a demigod.  What can he do to stop me if I want to do this?"

[Auir]

She chucked a rock at her face.

[paladin313]

She got mad, but Belldandy got in her face and said, "Pele, you are a goddess!  What are you doing?"
     "I have the right to do this as I wish, and, if people get in the way, it is not my problem," she answered, "You know the rules: virgin sacrifice, or no stopping the eruption.  Don't worry.  She'll be well taken care of after as one of my servants."

"Ian! Whatever you learned during your training you better do it now!"

[paladin313]

He threw everything into it and formed a huge wedge which was indeed diverting the rock, but the level around it was still rising.  He then tried to use his elements control and cool the rock.  It created a much larger land mass, but that was all.  He then passed out from exhaustion.

[Auir]

Skuld looked all around.

"If the level of it so much as rises a couple inches, then the lava flow would be putting the nearby cities in danger."

[paladin313]

"That has never been my worry," said Pele, "If they got in the way, they should have known better."
     By this point, news and rescue choppers were moving in, trying to get close and not succeeding.  By this point, Urd showed up, and screeched, "Pel-Pel!"
     "Urdie!" she called back, and they hugged, "It's been so long since school!"

"Why aren't they dropping ladders?" frowned Skuld.
