"Relax, Keiki," he said to her, "Just feel the breeze and the cooling spray the water!"

She nodded and tried to relax a little.

She couldn't hear Sentaro cheering, but Noble Scarlet gave a quick whisper that he was doing so, just as they were beginning a tube run.

Skuld gulped as she braced for it.

The man was keeping them just inside the wave tube, but not to where it would wash them out.  Everything took a bluish hue as he was running his fingers through the water of the wave.  There was an exhilaration to it all, and yet a weird kind of peace and safety.

"Wow..." she though, looking at the water.

They then slowly emerged, and turned the board into the wave as it closed out, sat down, and paddled back to shore.

Skuld's heart was pounding from the adrenaline.

They were in waist-deep water, and he said, "Okay, you can hop off now.  How was it?"

"It was a bit scary, but beautiful at the same time."

"Ah, that's the essence of surfing, keiki!" he said it, "You should get a board and learn!"

"I'm fine. Going on once was enough for me." she said with a ^^'.

Sentaro was diving into the water, all excited, saying, "Wow!  That was awesome!  You were really shooting the tube!"

"Gee, thanks." said Skuld, blushing.

As the man left, he warned that he only really had about two good hours of surfing left before the tide went out.
     "What happens then?" he asked.
     "The five to seven feet of water that separated you from the coral when you fell becomes about 18 inches.  Only the best pros go out at that point.
