"I only added top grade modifications of what any street racer would use."

"All street Legal?

[Trace Carter]

"Isn't almost anything legal on the street," asked Z

[Auir]

"Yes, it's all legal. Albeit expensive, but legal."

[Trace Carter]

"but are those parts legal here?"

[paladin313]

"The parts, when the car crashes, cannot present a hazard to other drivers or the spectators.  Also, we were going to say that if the other drivers are not aware of what you are doing, it could be seen as a form of cheating, especially if we do not know that's what you are doing.  If we know, at least, it's not your fault if they were too dumb not to use what you use."

[Auir]

"It passed the officials okay and were deemed street-legal. The other cars were designed by multi-billionare companies with a team of engineers. I used the ideas and concepts of street-racers who grew up racing on the streets."

[paladin313]

"So they don't present a hazard if there is a crash?  You know, shards and sharp flying parts...that kind of thing?"

[Auir]

"Nope, they don't." she replied.

[paladin313]

"Well then...this is going to be hard to hear, but, because you failed to inform the officials of the change, you are still going to have to pay a fine of one hour off the track."

[Auir]

"What?! The officials themselves said it was street legal when they checked it!" she exclaimed.

[paladin313]

"It was the fact that you did not inform us that you were actually going to use them, just if they were legal.  We have to know so that, when the other teams protest, we can say something.  All we could tell them was that you had inquired."

(Go with this...catching up adds drama.)

[Auir]

"Grr!" She stormed off angrily.

[paladin313]

The coach swept her aside reassuringly, and Bell was kneeling before her.  The man said, "You did nothing wrong.  We should have said something.  We're already 1/2 hour ahead.  That will get us only 45 minutes behind because of the axle, but with the way you did that car, we can make that up.  We have the chance to still win at least the class, but if all goes well, the whole race."
     Bell chimed in and said, "It shall be okay.  I know you can shape the future the right way in this.  I am so proud of you and what you have done.  I know you can help them win."

"Thank you onee-sama." said Skuld as she hugged her tightly. Her voice still had a bit of anger in it but she was calming down.
