"Looks like K1 did well," said Z looking at the results.

"He might make middle of the pack," said Chihiro, "We now have to ready him for one of the two short races that will determine his position on the start."

[Trace Carter]

"what do I need to do?" asked Z

[paladin313]

"Just be ready to do your pit stuff, although there's only really going to be two stops at most...one if we trick it out right.  Yet, in race conditions, it's good practice."

[Trace Carter]

"Got it, boss," said Z.

(We're going to shift now to the point where the parts get confiscated and replaced or deactivated.)

Z closed his eyes and reached out to the minds of some of the guards that were watching the cars with enchanted parts.  He cast an illusion on their minds that made them oblivious to what would happen.

And thus, they paid no mind to the newcomer.

(Sorry about not replying earlier, I'm current playing an MMORPG.)

Urd brought along the list. She checked the part listed on it for the car.

"Info's good. Who can replace the part?" Urd asked.

[Trace Carter]

One of Z's avatars ran up carrying a wagon of parts from an auto store.

Urd then used a switch-around spell to replace the magic part with an ordinary one.

"Let's keep this and study it." Urd said, holding the magic part.

[Trace Carter]

"agreed," said Z, "plus it would make good payment if we need something from mom or one of her subordinates."

[HotelKatz]

"According to Deberk's info, it might not last long enough for that. It'll transform into an ordinary part in one of the races." Urd said.
