"What I mean is, are you so certain that everyone is cheating like that?"

"I don't know about cheating but most cars have an enchanted part installed"

"All cars?"

"A good deal of them..." Urd muttered. "Most seem to either slightly increase the performance of the car."

[paladin313]

"But, I mean, how do they get in there from the factory?  Who does this?"

[Trace Carter]

"It's possible a third party gave them add ons that the mechanics in the pits installed themselves," suggested Z

[paladin313]

"Sounds to me like someone slips them in."

[HotelKatz]

"It's not like we know someone paranoid enough to spy on the various teams, but also is someone that we could get information out of easily..." Urd said.

Across the city, Deberk sneezed.

[Trace Carter]

"Hmmm, I could go talk to him," suggested Z, "but I'll probably need to compensate him for the deal.  any Ideas."

"In other words...there is a demon afoot that wants to cause mischief here during Speed Week!"

(For those who live in Rio Linda, Speed week is a week of racing at Daytona: the 24 Hours at Daytona, the SCCA race, motorcycle races, the Daytona Sprint 175s, and finishing with the 500.)

"I doubt it's something Hild is doing.... She's more the type to compete herself..." Urd said.

"which she is" Z pointed out

"Then...maybe some young demon who works for her that thinks he or she is making her happy?  Mara maybe?"

"Who?" asked Z

"My gut feeling tells me that Hild isn't responsible for the magical parts in the cars...." Urd said.
