"Okay!" he said, "I just want to show those cocky prototypes that even we stock cars can whoop them!"

[Auir]

A few moments later, she came back with a large toolbox on wheels that was following her around.

"Let's get to work!" she said,putting on her goggles.

The head mechanic gave a thumb's up and opened the hood.

[Auir]

"Hmm...." she began tweaking around the engine and the components. Cleaning up grease built up and checking all the bolts were secure.

[paladin313]

Despite all that, the engine looked as if it was brand new, and rigged to even change it during the race if need be.

[Auir]

"Hmm... Street-legal huh?" she began to make some modifications, rigging it with a supercharger compressor and a intercooler.

[paladin313]

"Yep," he said, "There's no law about a quick engine switch."

[Auir]

"Hmm... Can we change the wheels too?" she asked.

[paladin313]

"Well, we can't use mag wheels...too dangerous if we wreck.  They could catch fire, shatter, scatter on the crowd..."

[Auir]

"Hmm... What about carbon fiber?"

[paladin313]

(Not sure about that one...)

[Auir]

(Rare, but they exist. And I'm not sure either...)

[paladin313]

(Let's say yes.)

[Auir]

"Let's use carbon fiber instead. It's just as strong and a lot lighter."

[paladin313]

"Well, I suppose...nothing saying we can't..."
