"He shall do well...I know my Keiichi."

"Let's hope he can beat the pros," said Z

They announced his name, that he was a rookie driver, and where he was from.  The crowd let up a good cheer, showing some good southern hospitality.

[Trace Carter]

Z watched and got ready to do his part.

After one lap, the pace car pulled away and he took off.  He had the throttle up high, hoping to get a good time.  He knew that he'd only get a couple of chances at this so he wanted to make sure he had it right.  If he found the track hard, he had the other trial, and then the sprint 175 to earn his starting place.

Skuld took a position beside Belldandy to watch the race.

(Sorry about not posting earlier, I didn't receive any alerts.)

Urd was thinking about how some of the other racers' cars seemed to perform a bit better than she expected them to, but was otherwise concentrating on Keiichi's current efforts.

Belldandy said, "What did you do exactly, Skuld, to ready the car for the time trials?"

[Trace Carter]

Z walked over to Urd, "if K1 wins the race, then I know a place that has cheap yakiniku and good Sake."

"Well, we'll see," said Chihiro, "Right now, this is just time trials: running the track solo as fast as you can to get a good starting spot in the actual race itself.  The race itself is not for another three weeks.  They still have two short races they are going to run that will also help determine one's starting spot.  They are called the Daytona Sprint 175s: two races that are 175 miles long.  Your finishing spot is given points that are added to points he is trying to get now.  The top point gainer shall be in the pole position: the front row spot closest to the inside of the track.  Number two point gainer shall go beside him, then number three.  The next row shall be made of 4,5, and 6, and so forth."

"Sounds good, Z." Urd said.

[Trace Carter]

"Do you think he has a good chance?" asked Z, "I mean he is going to be racing the pros on their own turf."

[Auir]

"I pulled off an all-nighter." yawned Skuld, stretching out her arms.

[HotelKatz]

"He has our support, Of course he'll do well." Urd replied.

[Trace Carter]

"the support of three goddesses, one demigod, and one cambion is a powerful thing."
