"I feel...better...normal, like I was," he answered, "But..."
     He grabbed a mirror and said, "Really?  I look like a metrosexual!"

[Trace Carter]

"A what?" asked Z.

[paladin313]

"It's a man who is perfectly straight, but is always worried about the latest fashion, look, trend, usually urban, always flashy, that kind of thing."

[Trace Carter]

Z burst out laughing.

[paladin313]

"Sorry, kid," said Lind, "That's part of the deal.  But, we have to ask you a crucial question."
   "And that would be?"

[Trace Carter]

Z waited.
(what was the question again?)

Urd looked at Ian seriously, "you're facing a crossroad, kid.  You can either choose to have your powers sealed and live as a human, or accept them and your heritage as a demigod."

[paladin313]

"Okay, sis," he said frankly, "Tell me exactly what has happened to me."

[Trace Carter]

"Your demigod powers have awakened," said Urd, "that's why you felt so powerful.  The magic boosted all your natural abilities beyond human limits."

[paladin313]

"Okay, I get that," he said, "And you had already made me aware of this coming, but, what do you mean by 'choice'?  I mean, this is how I was born, wasn't it?  You can't change destiny."

[Trace Carter]

"The choice," said Urd, "Is whether you want to live as a human with your friends and family back home, or whether you want to become a demigod."

[paladin313]

He thought about it, and Lind added, "Trust me: your mother is privy to what has happened to you.  She's not afraid and will support you no matter what your choice is."
     He said, almost to no one, "That's my mom for you," and then said more to Urd, "I have few friends, no family other than you and my mother; you sound like I'd be leaving something behind.  I can't really miss what I never had."

"That's why I made my choice," said Z from the side.
