He went to his tasks while she went off, truly being smitten by the kid, and she really made him feel she was a kid sister.

Once Skuld returned, Bell said, "So, how did it go?"

"Great, big sis." said Skuld, "Ian is all settled in."

"Oh, so good!" she said, "You are such the little helper.  Now, if you could, could you go to the store and get a few things for me?  I have looked up some on his native land's foods, and I want to make a big dinner for him to help him feel at home with us.  Could you get these things for me?"
It was a long list, mostly seafood, along with corned beef and cabbage for some reason, and potatoes.  It was a lot of stuff, and she would need some help.

"I think I can do that," said Skuld, "I'll be right back."

It was an elaborate list: potatoes, carrots, a head of cabbage, corn beef, clams, about 18 lobsters, and tools for eating said lobsters, as well as some butter and rolls.

Skuld ran out with her banpei bike.

As she started to shop, she bumped into Hild, looking as if she was there to shop herself.

"H-h-hild!" exclaimed Skuld.

"Oh, fancy meeting you here," she said, "Oh, you are such an adorable child."
She gave her a hug and said, "You look so much like your mother.  So, how are things going," talking as if there was no animosity between them and they were all just good friends.

"What are you doing here?" asked Skuld.
(is she an avatar or her real self?)
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

((It is the avatar, and I know she's a bit more aggressive and a bit more hostile towards the crew, but she does owe them for them helping right at the end of the manga's run.))
"Same as you," she said, "I'm shopping.  What else would I be doing in a store?"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"riiight," said Skuld, "I figured you'd get Mara to do that."

"But sometimes, this can be fun..." she stopped, and said, all giddy, and pointed at some man in a trench coat, walking around and grabbing things and hiding them them in the coat, making sure he is not seen, "Look, that's what I'm talking about.  Come on!  Watch how we gain shares sometimes without even trying."
She pulled her off to the side to watch the action.  "Watch what happens when he gets over here.  His aura shows stupidity, and he's about to rise to the level of his own incompetence."
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"We should stop him!" sadi Skuld as she reached for a bomb.

"Oh, relax," she said, "The shares are not going to comne from him stealing.  It will come from karma on him.  Watch..."
He eventually came over to the lobster tank, and he looked around, managed to open the too, grabbed at a lobster, and as he did, she cause the band around one of the claws to break.  He pulled it out, and seeing he had nowhere else to put it, stuffed it down the front of his pants without thought.
