"Hoo, standing? Yeah, let's do it!"
Skuld straddled the board and got ready.

Ian took them out and started again the same process, but then said, "When I say, 'now', come to your feet, and I'll steady you.  Keep your arms out for balance and just allow your feet to go up and down with the move of the board.  I'll be steering it."

[Auir]

"Keep my arms out for balance? You better keep a tight grip on me then!" nodded Skuld, still clutching onto the board.

"I'll have your waist," he assured her, "Just trust in me and yourself.  If you can learn this, maybe, one day, you can surf on your own."
     The right wave hit, and he said, "Paddle."
     Once up to speed, he said, "Now!" holding her waist and helping her up.

[Auir]

Skuld, more unnerved at the fact that she was being held up, panicked a little and almost lost her footing. She grabbed one of his arms firmly and steadied herself.

"OooOOoohkay!"

"C'mon!" he said excitedly, "Lets ride this out!"

[Auir]

Feeling a bit more courageous now, Skuld let go of his arm and held out her arms to maintain balance.

"A-are we doing it?"

[paladin313]

Their staying just ahead of the tube was an answer in itself.  The breeze was exhilarating.

[Auir]

Skuld's heart was thumping from the adrenaline rushing through her veins. Feeling the wind flowing through her hair, she drew in deeply and tasted the slightly salty seawater mist before letting out a cry.

"Whooooohooooooo!"

"One day, you could do this by yourself!" he shouted over the roar of the ocean.

[Auir]

"Definitely!" replied Skuld.

"One day, I'll definitely do it!" At that last exclamation, her right foot slipped past the board...

This started them to lose it.  They started to tip and Ian instinctively grabbed Skuld to steady her.  He knew of her deathly fear of water and didn't want this to spoil it, and all he could think of was, "Got to stay out of the water..."
     Except, they weren't going into the water.  The wave splashed them and kept going, but there they were, floating in the air!  Indeed, slowly but surely Ian's demigod side was awakening, but this was new!
