"Right," said Kazi, "is it urgent, or can I wait till after the party?  Don't want to rain on their good time."

[paladin313]

"We have time," she said, "But I wouldn't wait more than a few days."

[Trace Carter]

Kazi nodded, "want me to cook tonight?"

[paladin313]

"As if I needed to eat," she said as she chuckled, "But, if you wish, you may."

[Auir]

"Onee-sama!" chirped Skuld.

"Ok, let's go for a big one!"

[paladin313]

He stroked his way out to the prime spot, and then faced the board towards the shore but just sat up and let one pass, two, three...  They were getting bigger and bigger each time, Skuld facing nose first and then being rocked upward, facing up, and then rolling back down level again until the next wave, and it repeated, but bigger.

Skuld was feeling her heart leap every time a wave went by. She clutched the board more fiercely now.

"S-so, just how big do these waves get?"

[paladin313]

"Well, you created this reality," he answered, "And by the looks of it, they can be seven or eight footers...average.  Oh, here we go!"
     He had felt out the set and knew this was it.  He flopped down and started to paddle frantically, getting up to speed, and then standing up and cutting left.  They were now shooting down the line, and he was doing gentle turns and board walking.  Belldandy shouted "WEEEEEE!" as they went along.

Kazi smiled and headed to the kitchen in their home.

"My specialty is in the futurweeeee!" screeched Skuld as they shot down the tube.

Indeed, at one point in the ride, they were indeed "shooting the tube" as the wave was arcing over them, but not hitting them; it was essentially a water tunnel.  Ian was actually able to reach out and let his hand drag a bit through the passing water.

Skuld also reached out to touch the wave, a smile slowly appearing over her face.

They soon emerged and found the wave closing out.  Since they had reached shallow water, Ian hopped off and steadied the board, waist deep.  He then said, "Well, what do you think?"

"Whew! I think I can get addicted to that!" said Skuld, her face still lit up by the ride.

[paladin313]

"Then, let's catch another wave and see if you can stand this time," he answered, "I'll hold you steady."
