He smiled and led Skuld out to where she was waist deep and allowed her on the front of the board.  "Hang on tight to the front of the board and don't move too erratically," he said.
He then laid down behind her, his chest just between her lower legs, head up, turned the board towards the surf and started paddling his way out.

"Made you itch, eh?" she said glancing up, "She has the tendency do to that."
Looking back down to the news, she said, "Then I would have to guess she tried to plant some seeds into your head, proverbially speaking?"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"Somewhat," said Kazi, "though it was nice to be around people other than family that actually cared."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

"She cares about everyone," answered Hild, "And that is both their benefit and detriment.  When it comes time to act, they could hesitate at the moment of execution.  Yet, it is good.  It maintains the balance.  That is what we are here for; to keep them in check."
She set the paper down before him, leaving out an article that he could see if he cared to pick up the paper, and then said, "And just what kind of seeds did she plant, or try to?"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

Kazi glanced at the paper, "Just that if I chose my other half, I'd have a place at the temple."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

"I thought the place was neutral ground," she answered, looking at some of the lab experiments the intelligent rats were running.

((I wanted to have that paper there so that he would see the first inklings of problems attached to your story arc that you want to do brewing.  She wants to see if he notices it.))
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"It is," said Kazi as he frowned at the article, "but she was saying that, if I chose my human side over my demon side, I could stay with them.  Mom, what is this article from?  If I'm reading this correctly, then Niddhog has detected the flames of Muspelheim growing in strength."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

"And what choice have you made?" she asked, looking to deal with the article once he answered.
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"The same one I made when I found out about my father," said Kazi, "I'm your son.  You raised me and cared for me when no one else did.  I'll always be by your side, mom."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

"That's my boy," she said, smiling and kissing him on the cheek, "And a keen eye for detail.  What to you make of the article?"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"I have two theories," said Kazi, "one bad, one really bad."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

Skuld nodded and hugged the board tightly.

"You don't do anything too crazy too o-okay?"
Denka! Kenshin-sama! Anata no kami no hogo o yokose!

"Really?" she asked, "What are they?"

He gave a quick reassuring squeeze to her shoulder and said, "You can trust me."
At that moment, on the front of the board, was a small avatar of Belldandy in her own wet suit, smiling at Skuld, and saying, "Fear not, for I am with you.  This shall be much fun!"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"One," said Kazi, "the fire giants are planning something unsavory.  My other theory...is the ragnarok is beginning."
"The secret to creativity is combining logic and science with Fantasy and fiction"

"Could it be both?" she asked, "Or could those two idiots be trying to cause something before it is time?"
Fear is ignorance expressed through panic.

"If they are, then we have a huge problem."
