TENCHI MUYO! THE NEXT GENERATION

TENCHI MUYO! THE NEXT GENERATION is merely my own ideal for a sequel of TENCHI MUYO! RYO-OHKI.  The series is center around one of Tenchi's sons whom I call Kazuki.  Kazuki is the oldest son of Tenchi and his wife Ayeka..  Kazuki was name after the father of his maternal grandfather Azusa Masaki Jurai.  Kazuki has a fraternal twin sister Kiyone. Kiyone was name after her father's mother Kiyone.  In the series, the twins are residing somewhere in the Tokyo Prefecture.  Both want to go a high ranking public high school since childhood.  The name of the high school is Masaki High School.

Like his father Tenchi, Kazuki is going to have his own harem.  Kazuki doesn't want a harem like his father, but he is already engaged to three girls. One of the girls whom Kazuki is engaged to is one of his cousins whom I named Hotaru.  Hotaru's mother can be either Tennyo or Minaho.  Hotaru has an identical twin whose name is Hikaru.  Hotaru is the oldest twin. Hotaru is the series' main female protagonist while Kazuki is the male protagonist.  Strangely while Kazuki is the male protagonist, he is not the main protagonist.

In the first episode, it will seem that Kazuki is the main protagonist.  He is already engaged to Hikaru and Hotaru.  Kazuki's own harem has not been firmly establish.  His twin sister Kiyone is a member of Kazuki's harem in a way.  Kiyone's status in Kazuki's harem is merely a close friend.  The identity of the main protagonist is given by some clues.  one clue of the identity of the series' main protagonist is how he relates to the other characters.  At first, the main protagonist seems to be like one of the other major characters. Slowly the identity of the series' main protagonist turns out to be Hotaru.

Kazuki compares Hotaru to Noike. Hotaru is a strong character with her share of weaknesses and strengths.  Hotaru and her identical twin sister Hikaru have a very close relationship.  Their close relationship does cause some major problems for the twins and their parents.  They are engaged to Kazuki since childhood.  Their engagement to Kazuki is the only way for the twins.  Both are already have strong feelings for Kazuki.   At the moment, they see themselves mainly as two of Kazuki's best friends.  Kazuki has already accepted his engagement to Hotaru and Hikaru. Except for the few people who are aware of the engagement between Kazuki, Hotaru, and Hikaru, a lot of people will only think that Hotaru is Kazuki's fiancée.

Kazuki is fifteen before the first episode.  He will be turning sixteen during the month of September.   Kazuki, Kiyone, Hotaru, and Hikaru are going to Masaki High School. The four are still figuring which of the school clubs to join.  In the first episode, Kazuki meets his third fiancée.  Kazuki's third fiancée is a member of the Jurain Royal House of Tatsuki.  While Kazuki's third fiancée was born on Earth, she had spent a part of her childhood on Jurai.  My name for Kazuki's third fiancée is Motoko Tatsuki Jurai.  Motoko is barely able to accept the fact that she is engaged to Kazuki.

It is a very strange ideal for the main protagonist of a harem series to be the main female protagonist.  Hotaru has long accepted the fact that Kazuki is going to have a harem. In the first episode, Hotaru acts as if she is only the female protagonist.  Oddly, a clue for Hotaru being the main protagonist is given in the first episode.  Oddly, Hotaru's rival turns out to be Motoko. Motoko and Hotaru have a friendly rivalry.   Both pretend to act like Ayeka and Ryoko as a way to tease their fiancé Kazuki.
