Note, AIC did not bother using the classic actresses for Sasami or Washu in Sasami: Magical Girls Club 8-9 years ago.

If it's something they are waiting to announce, it could be big for the Japanese fanbase.  The lack of would also be big for the classic fans.  At a 9:55pm slot, we're not exactly talking a kid's show, confirmed by the clothing they're wearing.

It depends on how important they feel bringing in the old fans is.

Sasami was a spinoff that was more using the old characters in a new way, not necessarily to funnel in old fans. But this is actually a full fledged "Tenchi" show. Would be shocked if not even one of them did not reprise.

That being said, given modern otaku culture and how much importance they place on "purity" (a bunch of them threw a hissy conniption fit when Aya Hirano was leaked to have known some of her band in the Biblical sense, for instance) wouldn't be shocked if any of the female seiyuu are married that they aren't called back in.

I remember when I use to like Matt K Miller as Tenchi, good times. Kikuchi owns that role for me now, not even really close imho.

Well that's an interesting twist. Can't say I was expecting the voice of Lafiel & Saber to make an appearance as one of these new "tenchi girls". Petty, that her character looks like she would be working at Dennys and not educating children.
