Quote from: Ryo-Okay on May 05, 2025, 01:03:31 PMI hope an English manga publisher like Seven Seas or J-Novel Club is paying attention to this kickstarter. There is still a market for Tenchi stuff in the west, somebody should relicense the Okuda manga.

Here Here omnibuses of those would be phenomenal.

Love tenchi especially the Kajishima continuity rabbit hole of lore and characters.
Only just found this forum. For a year I have been working in my free time to try to be able to translate the GXP Novels inspired by the latest OVAs. The planned release of 18 sparked excitement. Checked out Eff Efferson's translations (bless you man) and had fun. Your online work was great. (Though The link to this forum site is not working 5-5-25 but helped lead me here)

My raws are scanilated images and then converted to text. I have been driving myself cross-eyed, proofing to assemble the text correctly. I've got volume 1 done (raw working on translating)but if anybody has other raws already in text format (RTF I think?) I would be thankful. Thanks to anyone who wants to help

This thread may be dead but better to ask than stew by myself. Only just found this forum. Note: the very generous link in this thread is over 5 years old and dead as checked last week.

Quote from: Eff Efferson on May 03, 2025, 12:27:42 AMTbh I'm happy anyone has comments on it cause honestly nearly no one was reading it when I was doing it and it was frustrating.

I read it twice and made notes on the second readthrough, but never got around to commenting on it.

For example, I believe it would be noteworthy of making mention that in GXP2 they're talking about Precivilization Earth, the same Earth Dual took place on. Then in GXP13 Seina lands on Precivilization Mars, which I first thought was a resource stripped Earth, but I'm fairly certain is Mars. And this is why Zinv was inside the remains of an entombed spaceship.

Another thing of note, I'm not sure which volume, Kenneth and Raiju are talking about the Astral Sea, they may have hinted at how Tenchi, Misaki or possibly a yet unknown god-like existence came into being. Like the higher dimensional being we're introduced to in Kajishima's conceptual -If- series doujinshi, which appears loosely tied to Masquerade.

And as an added bonus, I noticed that in a GPX8 b&w image Ringo looks an awful lot like Ifurita. Which upon noticing this similarity makes her waking up inside a shipping container all the more amusing.
